Khumani Iron Ore Mine

This project was my first foray into e-learning. With nearly no experience in instructional design and only just finished tertiary education it was a fairly abrupt dunk into this field. After three iterations of design (2nd iteration displayed) I finally got the hang of balancing client requests with the required design elements for the actual end users. A big limmitation during this process was lack of bandwidth availability in the area as the e-learning was to be hosted from their headquarters in Johannesburg, Gauteng but needed to be accessed in Kathu in the Norther Cape.

The target audience for the various compliance and SOP documents to be created ranged from highly skilled technical engineers through to the lowest skilled general workers, making a homogeneous look and feel tricky across the many many documents to be digitised (23 Documents in phase 1).
